Beacon Hose will be one of about 80 volunteer fire departments around the state to be hosting a recruitment open house as part of Volunteer Firefighter Day in Connecticut.
Have you ever thought about volunteering your time to join us as a firefighting, EMS or fire police member? We know the thought of it can be both interesting and intimidating, but we’ll be happy to answer all of your questions and show you some of what we do. We’ll also explain both the rewards and commitments of being a member.
Our open house will be Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at our headquarters, 35 North Main Street. We’ll also have applications with us that day — you can also click here to download one yourself — as we’re always looking to add to our membership. All Beacon Falls residents are welcome to apply, and we consider other locals on an occasional basis.
