Popcorn Ball Sunday Dec. 13, Bring Santa Home Drive-Thru Dec. 20

UPDATE: Thanks for your support. Merry Christmas!

The pandemic won’t stop Beacon Hose from celebrating Christmas safely with our neighbors this year!

We’ve had a great Christmas tree sale and an outpouring of support for our first Operation Believe mission, so now it’s time to welcome Santa Claus to Beacon Falls for two more holiday events!

POPCORN BALL SUNDAY: For the first time in many years, Beacon Hose is bringing back Popcorn Ball Sunday! Santa Claus will leave the firehouse at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13, and hit almost every single road in Beacon Falls over the next 90 minutes or so.

Make sure you listen for the sirens when Santa is close to your neighborhood, and Santa will be on top of a firetruck to toss popcorn balls out to all the kids he sees! Click here to check out the order of each truck’s route (it’s hard for us to give exact estimates of when each truck will be in each neighborhood, but it will be between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.)

BRING SANTA HOME DRIVE-THRU: Instead of the Bring Santa Home program we’ve run in the past, we’re looking at a little bit of a safer version in light of the pandemic. Santa will be at Beacon Hose on Sunday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. and welcoming local families to come drive through the firehouse for a meeting with Santa!

Parents who would like to drop off a gift for Santa to give to their child are welcome to do that. Gift drop-off times will be available from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17, and Friday, Dec. 18, as well as 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. Please make sure the gift is wrapped and labeled with your child’s name, and we’ll take care of the rest.

On Sunday, Dec. 20, families looking to come meet Santa will drive around the firehouse, check in from the car, and then drive into the firehouse where Santa will be awaiting with the gift(s)! You’ll be able to exit your vehicle briefly to meet the big man. Due to COVID-19 precautions, everyone must wear a mask — Santa will have one on, too. Fill out the form below so we can get an idea of when you might be coming (if it changes, that’s OK).

There is no fee to come visit Santa, but we will accept donations to benefit Operation Believe and the less fortunate families we sponsor during the holidays.

If you have any questions about either event, contact us by clicking here. Merry Christmas from all of us at Beacon Hose!
