Beacon Hose revived its softball team in 2014 and the team earned three victories in its first season as part of the Valley Firemen’s Softball League.
Kyle Brennan is the team’s coach, while Jeff Kean is the team’s captain and Shane Henion is the team’s general manager.
Beacon Hose won its first game on June 9, 2014. The “Smoke Eaters” earned a 14-13 win over Paugies in extra innings, thanks to a six-run comeback in the fifth inning. Beacon Hose also won a pair of games against East End.
The team just completed its second season with a postseason berth. More information about the team can be found here.
The season runs from April to September and home games are played Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the Beacon Falls Recreation Complex.
