2015 Upper Valley CSFA Convention and Parade

convention-logoBeacon Hose Co. No. 1 and Citizens’ Engine Co. No. 2 teamed up to host the 132nd annual Connecticut State Firefighters Association Convention and Parade from Sept. 18-20, 2015.

We were extraordinarily humbled and thrilled to host the state’s most prestigious firefighting event, one that was many years in the making. Thanks to those who supported the event by coming out, and especially to those who sponsored and/or attended our fundraisers so that we could put on a successful event.

Beacon Hose was especially proud to see the fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork of our members in preparing for and being involved in the convention. Not only was the event a prestigious one for us to host, but we were able to come closer as a department and show our firefighting brothers and sisters what makes Beacon Hose special.

The parade spanned just more than two miles through downtown Beacon Falls, with a noon step-off at the intersection of Lancaster Drive, Rimmon Hill Road and Pines Bridge Road. The parade ran down South Main Street, onto part of North Main Street and across the Depot Street Bridge, where it finished down Railroad Avenue into the bullpen area at the Murtha Industrial Park.
