Poker Run, Steak and Brew Night to Support Convention

To help support the 2015 Upper Valley CSFA Convention and Parade, which we’ll be hosting in September with Citizens’ Engine Co. No. 2, Beacon Hose will host a pair of fundraisers this summer.

There will be a Poker Run for motorcycles and classic cars Sunday, July 12. Registration starts at 11 a.m. at Beacon Hose. Entry fees are $20 per driver and $10 per passenger, and a cash prize will be given out for best hand. Door prizes will also be awarded, and the event ends at the Dark Horse Saloon in Oxford for food and drinks.

Beacon Hose Observes Memorial Day Weekend

Beacon Hose held its annual Memorial Day weekend ceremonies on Sunday, May 24, to remember the men and women who have died fighting for the United States, as well as our departed members.

The morning started with a breakfast with American Legion Post 25 members at the firehouse, followed by the flag raising ceremony in front of the station and a department photo. Later, Beacon Hose appeared in Seymour’s parade before taking part in Beacon Falls’ ceremony at Veterans Park.

Skip the Line, Pre-Order Carnival Tickets Here

For the second straight year, Beacon Hose is offering the opportunity to pre-order carnival tickets so you don’t have to wait in a long line when you arrive!

This year’s carnival will be held from June 11-13, with live entertainment, great food, cold beer, exciting rides, raffles and lots of fun. (Click here to see the entertainment we have on tap.) We’ll be open Thursday from 6-10 p.m., Friday from 6-11 p.m. and Saturday from 3 p.m.-midnight. Our parade is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday along Main Street, from Route 42 to the firehouse. There’s no admission fee to come visit us. We sell tickets for food and rides.

Lobster/Steak/Chicken Dinner Set For Memorial Day Weekend

Beacon Hose will host its annual lobster/steak/chicken dinner fundraiser, but this year it’s going to be on Memorial Day weekend!

The takeout-only dinner will be Friday, May 22 from 5-6:30 p.m. There are four pickup times: 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Dinners available include single lobsters ($20), twin lobsters ($29), rib eye steak ($17) and half roasted chicken ($15), and all include a baked potato and salad.

All orders must be placed by calling the firehouse (203-729-1470) by May 18. Beacon Hose appreciates your support!

Mother’s Day Breakfast, Duck Race Kick Off May

Mother’s Day weekend will be an exciting one at Beacon Hose as two big events are planned at the firehouse.

The 17th annual Lions Club of Beacon Falls Duck Race (and the eighth annual Naugatuck Valley River Race) will be held Saturday, May 9, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on the grounds of Beacon Hose and Volunteer Park.
