Beacon Hose Juniors Selling Pies, Cookie Dough, More for Fundraiser

Update: This fundraiser is closed. Thanks for your support!

Our Beacon Hose Junior Corps is in the rebuilding process, and to help build it back up, our juniors and advisors have set up a Lyman Orchards pie and cookie dough fundraiser that is open from now until Feb. 24.

Orders of pies and cookie dough will arrive at the firehouse on April 17, just in time for Easter. There are many other products, such as popcorn and jerky, that will be shipped to your home.

Click here to place an online order via card. If you’d like to order with cash or check, please contact Junior Corps advisor Chris Beson at 203-707-0088 or kvrs952@yahoo.com.

Thanksgiving Meat-O to Return Nov. 23

Update: We are no longer accepting RSVPs. Thanks for your support!

Beacon Hose is set to host the latest edition of one of our most popular events: the Thanksgiving Meat-O!

Our Thanksgiving Meat-O night will be Saturday, Nov. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the firehouse. A $10 admission fee buys you a seat, and we’ll have light refreshments. The features of the night are games of chance to win something special for your Thanksgiving table. We’ll have turkeys, hams, roasts, seafood, raffle baskets, mystery turkeys, and more up for grabs!

We aren’t doing reserved seating, but we do require a head count if you plan on coming. Only those 21 and older are allowed, and the event is BYOB (alcohol is allowed) and BYOS (snacks!). To give us your head count, please complete the form below, message us on social media, call the firehouse (203-729-1470), or email info@beaconhose.com by Nov. 20.

Beacon Hose Octoberfest on Oct. 5 to Benefit Valley Flood Relief Fund

UPDATE: Thanks for your support!

Beacon Hose Octoberfest returns this fall, and we’re happy to announce that all of our department’s proceeds from the event will be donated to the WFSB/WPLR Community Rising Flood Relief Fund administered by TEAM, Inc., to benefit Valley residents and businesses affected by the Aug. 18 flash floods.

Join us at Beacon Hose on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. for our annual Octoberfest. Celebrate some of the year’s best weather with a day filled with good food, drinks, Fire Prevention Week activities, and family fun at our firehouse.

We’ll feature a bunch of the best food trucks in the state — see below for the list! Besides all that delicious food, here’s what else is on tap:

  • A wide selection of adult beverages from Nikki’s Happy Hitch Bar
  • Fire Prevention Week activities, including touch-a-truck and live demonstrations
  • A pumpkin patch — choose and decorate your own pumpkin from Verab Greenhouses
  • Games for adults and children, including inflatables from the National Guard and plenty of yard games and table games
  • Live music

We’re excited to continue our new fall tradition here at Beacon Hose! Admission is free, and all of our food truck and drink vendors kick back a portion of their sales to benefit the cause.
