54th Annual Beacon Hose Carnival Set for June 8-10

Update: Thank you for your support!

The Beacon Hose Firemen’s Carnival, one of Beacon Falls’ longest lasting and most enjoyable traditions, is set to return for the 54th time this Thursday-Saturday, June 8-10, on the grounds of Beacon Hose.

Each June, thousands of visitors from Beacon Falls and towns all over the state join us for three nights of delicious food, cold drinks, exciting rides, great fun and engaging music to help raise funds for the civic side of Beacon Hose’s operations.

Carnivals and parades used to be common traditions among local fire departments, but many have been discontinued over the years because of the work required. We’ve made sure to continue an event that has become a town-wide tradition. Proceeds from the carnival go toward our community efforts, including sponsorship of local youth sports, fire prevention programs, educational scholarships, holiday functions, events throughout the community and opportunities for our volunteer members.

Just in time for one of Beacon Hose’s favorite holidays — St. Patrick’s Day! — we’re rolling out our first-ever St. Patrick’s Day shirt! This Irish green T-shirt comes in both short-sleeve and long-sleeve. We’ve customized our Maltese cross patch to reflect the Irish heritage of many of our current and past members, and the back of the shirt pays homage not only to the Irish but also to our first-due apparatus, Engine 3.

These shirts will be specially ordered with the deadline of Friday, March 10, at noon EST. Long-sleeve shirts and plus-sizes will be subject to extra fees. They will be available for pickup at the firehouse next week. We can ship them or deliver for an added fee, but they may not arrive in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
