Beacon Hose Announces Carnival Entertainment Schedule

Beacon Hose is thrilled to announce the entertainment lineup for our annual firemen’s carnival, which will be held June 11-13 at the firehouse.

On Thursday night, it’s an all-Beacon Hose night of entertainment featuring our own Kyle Brennan as the DJ and our own Jeff Kean running his popular trivia contest. Trivia will start at 8 p.m. and the winning team will receive half the overall pot. See if you can your team can earn the official title of the Smartest Folks in Beacon Falls!

Beacon Hose Meat-O is Back in Time for Easter!

The craze that is Beacon Hose’s Meat-O is coming back for Easter!

Beacon Hose will host an Easter Meat-O night Saturday, March 28, at 7 p.m. at the firehouse. A $5 admission fee includes a buffet dinner and one drink ticket. The whole point of the event is to pay into games of chance to win something special for your Easter table — including kielbasas, pierogis, shrimp, babka, hams, turkeys and more.

Beacon Hose, New Harvest to Host Tip-a-Firefighter Dinner

Beacon Hose will team up with our good friends at the New Harvest Restaurant for a fundraiser Tip-a-Firefighter Dinner on Thursday, March 5, beginning at 5 p.m.

Meal choices include lamb shank, New York strip steak and chicken parm with pasta. Each meal also includes hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages, salad, bread and dessert.

The dinner costs $30 per person, and a $6 children’s meal is also available.

Christmas Tree Sales, Bring Santa Home and More Holiday Fun

The Christmas season is one of our favorite times of year at Beacon Hose, and the department has its usual set of exciting Christmas activities planned throughout December. They include the town’s Christmas tree lighting, Beacon Hose’s children’s Christmas party, Bring Santa Home, the first Meat-o Wine-o event, a Christmas lunch and the department’s Christmas tree sales.

First on the list will be the Beacon Hose Children’s Christmas Party, which will be held Sunday, Dec. 7 at noon at the firehouse. All Beacon Hose members are welcome to attend, and the children of Beacon Hose members — those up to and including fifth-graders — will receive gifts from Santa Claus.
